These Terms and Conditions are applicable to “ROYAL & IMPERIAL BELVEDERE HOTELS” owned and operated by HERSONISSOS S.A, (hereinafter referred to as“Company”, “we”, or “us”, “Belvedere Hotels” with offices in Hersonissos, Crete, P.C. 70014, Greece.
Access and usage of www.belvedereresort.com is conditional upon user acceptance of the terms and conditions written below. Users are strongly advised to read the following terms and conditions closely before using our website and if they do not agree with any part of these terms and conditions, they must not use this website. This is a non-exhaustive list of general policies governing operations of “ROYAL & IMPERIAL BELVEDERE HOTELS” and should customers require any clarification on terms not stated here, we encourage the them to contact us directly.
Additionally, usage of the www.belvedereresort.com website, or written communication with the hotel or the operating company, for the purposes of travel arrangements and/or accommodation, confirms that the correspondent is over 18 years old and has have read and fully accept these terms and conditions. These terms and conditions are devised for the protection of all parties involved.
All users and customers are responsible for reading these terms and conditions (including our booking terms and conditions) available at www.belvedereresort.com. Users and customers agree to abide by these terms or conditions and fully understand that any violation of any such conditions of purchase may result in cancellation of their reservations or purchases, denial of access to Belvedere hotels, potential cancelation fees, and debiting of customer’s account for any costs that Belvedere hotels incur as a result of such action.
With respect to hotel reservations and ground arrangements made directly through this website, via linked web-booking engines (webhotelier, booking) any reservations made by the customer will become confirmed once customer has sent the on-line confirmation, provided charging details, and paid the amount due in full or any required deposits and when Belvedere Hotel has acknowledged receipt of the agreed payment or deposit. The Hotel reserves the right to charge an initial non-refundable deposit. (Payment arrangements may be waived solely at the discretion of Belvedere Hotels).
In principal, upon receival of written confirmation from the customer, accompanied with the appropriate proof of payment (e.g. deposit) as well as any travel arrangements information the hotel accepts and confirms the booking. Customers using booking engines linked to our website, confirmation, deposit or full payment, indicates acceptance of terms and conditions by the customer. This also applies for simple enquiries sent via email to the Hotels.
Any final payment which includes all charges made by customer until check-out, must be made the customer leaves the hotel. Any payments made by the customer for full or part payment for the travel arrangements / hotel reservation may be made either by 1) bank transfer or 2) credit card (Visa, MasterCard). If paid via bank transfer, all additional charges and fees related to the transfer will be borne by the customer. If paying by credit card, transaction must be made through the secure internet online payment gateway hosted in web-booking engines (Webhotelier, booking etc) since customer card details are not stored by Belvedere Hotels in any form.
Customers may have a confirmed reservation mail. The confirmation email sent after making the online reservation will be considered as proof of reservation.
In the case that booking was made through the internet payment gateway, customers do not need to reply to any auto generated booking confirmation email. If there are any queries regarding reservations customers are advised to contact the hotel via email at reservations@belvedereresort.com by mentioning their booking reference number, including name, dates and the hotel.
Hotel rates regarding hotel reservations are subject to possible changes and surcharges beyond our control and may occur because of governmental action, currency exchange rate fluctuation and increases in suppliers’ prices.
Starting in 2024, the previous Accommodation Tax for hotel guests is replaced with the new "Climate Crisis Resilience Charge."
The Resilience Charge is applied as follows:
From March to October: 4-star hotels: €7.00 per room, per night
From November to February:4-star hotels: €3.00 per room, per night
Belvedere Hotels, have the following classification of children ages regarding the formation of their pricing policies:
0 to 4.99 years old – ‘Infant’: If an extra bed is required, there may be an additional supplement
5 to 11.99 years old – ‘Children’: Respective hotel Child rates apply.
12 years old and above – will be considered as ‘Adult’ and falls under the Adults pricing policy
Various price rate categories are listed on the online booking website, regardless of the currency listed and subject to change at the discretion of Belvedere Hotels. Although the hotel is making every effort to provide all hotel reservations as confirmed, reasonable changes in the reservation may be made after notifying the customer (eg exchange rate fluctuations).
Cancellations up to 30 days before the date of arrival will not bare any fee charges. Cancellations within the 30 days before arrival, will have a 50% refund, no refund if its 7 days or less. Failure to arrive at the hotel may be subject to a 100% cancellation fee.
In the case that the customer wishes to change the date of reservation, this is feasible (subject to availability) by sending email to reservations@belvedereresort.com. If the rate for the new reservation date is lower than the original rate, any excess amount can be utilized against extra amenities at the hotel during the period of stay. If the rate is higher than the original rate, the remaining amount must be paid by the customer before check-out
In the case where the hotel is overbooked we will request to transfer your booking to a similar or higher category hotel. You may agree to be transferred or you may cancel the booking. If you agree to be transferred, then we will do so to the best of our ability and without any additional cost. If you wish to cancel the reservation at this point, we will do so without any penalties and refund the full amount (after deducting any bank charges).
In the case that a dispute arises regarding a reservation the Hotel has the sole authority to cancel the reservation by informing the guest via email. In this case the reservation amount will be refunded in full after deducting any credit card or bank charges
Customer is responsible to ensure that he and any other accompanying member have been up to date and appropriately inoculated and informed regarding medical issues prior to their travel. Customer is also responsible to ensure that he and other accompanying members have correct and valid passports, visas and have conformed to all other requirements.
We will only accept liability for incidents that arise as a direct result of our proven negligence, or that of our suppliers, in respect of arrangements forming part of your holiday itinerary, in cases where all your holiday accommodation, transfers, excursions, activities and sports which are arranged by us for the entire extent of your stay. This applies to illness, injury and/or death.
We cannot be held responsible for the failure of any component of the holiday for which we do not have direct responsibility.
There may be circumstances (force majeure) outside our control where it is impossible to fulfill any contractual obligations. In these cases, we shall not be liable for compensation if we are forced to cancel, delay, curtail or change your reservation in any way or where our performance of the contract is affected or limited. The hotel cannot be held responsible, also for any loss, damage to baggage, property or for injury illness or death or for any damages or claims however so caused arising directly or indirectly from accidents, loss or damage to person or property, delays, force majeure, Acts of God etc. or any other loss arising from or pursuant to customer hotel reservation. The hotel is responsible to ensure that the booked rooms comply with all booking standards as presented and offered to customer. Similar obligation on behalf of the Hotel exists regarding the services offered.
The Customer is responsible for any damages, losses that hotel suffered by him or his accompanying members during his period of stay with the obligation to compensate it appropriately prior to checking- out. The Customer is also responsible for compliance with all relevant regulations applicable to the hotel during his period of stay. If hotel management receives complaints or notices that customer behavior is causing inconvenience, injury or danger to other clients, staff or any other third party, they can terminate the reservation may be terminated without taking responsibility for any costs or claims that are incurred.
These Booking Terms and Conditions are governed in all respects by Greek law.
Although we try to maintain all information in our webpage accurate and up to date, we cannot guarantee that all information available is free from errors or omissions. We do try to fix all errors, by regular reviews or upon notice. Our website may contain links to websites operated by third parties Those links are provided to you for your reference and convenience only. We do not control those websites and we cannot be held responsible for their content or any risks during your visit and use of them.
Additionally, although we are making every effort to secure our website and any electronic communication by and with us we neither take responsibility nor accept any liability for any virus or any other type of electronic infection that may be transferred through this website. Under no circumstance will we be liable for any loss or damage caused by a user’s reliance on information obtained through this site.
We try to present our hotel facilities and services as accurate, precise as possible with up-to-date information through our website and other communications with you to the best of our knowledge. The hotel cannot be held responsible for any discrepancies or differences that might arise between the content of our website (text, images etc), and any other 3rd party websites.
If customers have any complaints, they are welcome to inform our staff during their period of stay. Additionally, If the complaint cannot be resolved during that period, customers are welcome to submit in writing a formal complaint sent to Belvedere Hotel Management (reservations@belvedereresort.com)
Your privacy protection is of paramount importance to us and your personal data are treated with the outmost confidentiality and not forward it to any third party as per our privacy policy.
We have a photography and video policy in place for the privacy and tranquility of all our guests which forbids commercial photography without express written permission from hotel management. Guests may shoot non-commercial photography or video for their personal use (no professional equipment, lighting, etc.) in their room or on property with respect for the privacy and tranquility of other guests on the Hotel’s premises and surrounding areas.
The Data Privacy Statement of our Hotel is in the respective section of our website accompanied with contact information of Belvedere Hotels Data Protection Officer whom you can contact for any issue regarding your personal data and photo policy.
The management reserves the right to review and update these terms and conditions whenever at her own discretion by posting the version and the effective date of the updated terms and conditions. Customers are strongly encouraged to visit this website prior to their booking so as to be informed with the latest terms and conditions.
